Castillo’s Story
Meet Jackson Castillo
Jackson Castillo is a third-generation Floridian raised in Wimauma. His family was originally from Ruskin, and the Castillo family is respected. Jackson is a young entrepreneur offering the best value in Tampa Bay for external building services to protect the Building Enclosure from outside elements.
His family has lived in Hillsborough County since the 1800s. Jackson’s Great Grandmother was born I Tampa 1895. It’s not surprising that Castillo’s Gutters and Aluminum started in 2023 and has been serving customers in the Wimauma, Ruskin, Gibsonton, and Riverview areas for house gutter installation and gutter replacement.
Jackson graduated from East Bay High School and played JV and Varsity Football. He also volunteered as an Assistant Coach for Little League Football and devoted over 100 hours to helping kids. After High School, his first full-time job was selling Health Insurance. He agreed with the need for insurance to pay doctor and hospital bills and was making money, but insurance sales was not the career he wanted. Jackson enjoyed working with his hands, building and fixing things.
Before starting his rain gutter company, Jackson enjoyed working on carpentry and construction projects as both a hobby and a job that needed to be done. He also wanted to help people with something that could touch people in a personal way. Additionally, he wanted to work on things that are important to people and would contribute to improving the quality of life for them.
What could be more important to people than their home? People’s homes are their biggest financial investment. Jackson decided to make it his life’s mission to offer and implement Home Building Services to protect people’s biggest investment.
Your Home is Your Biggest Investment!

Becoming an Expert

Two close family friends, Cameron and Brady, are the owners of Baxley Gutters and Aluminum. The Baxley is a high-quality seamless gutter contractor in Ruskin. Jackson worked for Baxley for about a year and learned all about rain gutter installation from experienced professionals. Jackson found the work easy and fulfilling. He developed his hands-on skills and expertise by working directly on the job with gutters, fascia, soffit, underground drainage, aluminum enclosure screening.
Cameron and Brady were astonished by how quickly Jackson picked it up; he was a natural and achieved excellent results. Later, the Baxley brothers helped Jackson start his business, Castillo’s Gutters and Aluminum LLC. Jackson will always be grateful to Cameron and Brady Baxley for their help and on-the-job training. Jackson loves this work and is very proficient at doing it!

Castillo’s Story
Lesson from Pappy
Pappy Built a Business
Jackson’s Grandfather is affectionately known as Pappy in the family. Pappy owned a local body shop. While Jackson was growing up, everyone knew about Pappy’s shop, Castillo Paint & Collision. The shop had a sterling reputation for the area’s best bodywork and excellent paint jobs. Pappy was a hardworking and honest individual who took pride in his work and consistently delivered top-quality results. The shop was Pappy’s pride and joy. Pappy invests his time, money, and emotions in growing the business to his standards of excellence. Pappy was always busy; he thoroughly enjoyed the work and was recognized in Tampa Bay as providing exceptional service.
Pappy’s Golden Nugget
Pappy’s believed you don’t learn a work skill just to do it. You learn a trade skill to become an expert to achieve as perfect results as humanly possible. You never stop learning or honing that skill. Pappy’s belief about skill development was taken to heart by Jackson. The lesson learned from Pappy is “You perform a work skill to be the best at it.” While on the job today, you will find Jackson coaching his employees on best practices to achieve the best results that not only aesthetically look great, but is functional and built with the best craftsmanship and are durable enough to last.
When the time came for Pappy to retire, he sold the business for a fair price. The new owner ran Pappy’s original body shop differently and not to Pappy’s standard or the way he would provide results or customer service. The company he sold failed and broke Pappy’s heart.
Putting the Castillo Name on It
With the Castillo company name, Pappy’s auto body shop made a deep impression on Jackson. Jackson views his business, Castillo’s Gutters and Aluminum, as a legacy that will keep his family name alive, preserve his values and the Castillo brand’s reputation.
Jackson’s personal goal is to build a business that his kids will be proud of and want to be part of. Not just any business, but the Castillo family business, which will deliver the highest-quality service and value. Jackson wants to pass his business down to his children. He plans to get his kids involved early, teach them the business, how to treat customers, and continue to deliver the highest-quality services as a family tradition. The most important lesson learned from Pappy is that you must produce results worthy enough to put your name on it.

Do It the Right Way
Castillo’s Work Ethic
Pappy taught Jackson an important work ethic to live by and can be summed up in one sentence, “Do it the Right Way.” The following are just some things that Pappy practiced daily. Honesty is the only policy. Customers should be treated with respect. Always ensure that customers are satisfied with the work and retain them as loyal customers for the long term. The entire work team must take pride in doing their best work. In addition, it’s essential to arrive at the worksite on time and work a full day, or until the job is completed. Finally, every day, put in your best efforts to produce superior craftsmanship, allowing you to put the Castillo signature on the work you do.
Jackson took Pappy’s work ethic to heart and added his ideas. Jackson’s business philosophy includes taking care of his customers and employees; they will take care of you. However, this is just part of being business-savvy, which is necessary for success. The Castillo team not only works hard daily, but also works smart as an efficient team. As the owner of the business, Jackson is present with the team on the job to lead and guide them, assess their work, ensure the team meets Jackson’s quality standards, and develop best practices.
Jackson also believes in an honest workday for a fair wage. Some of Jackson’s competitors think it is okay to overcharge. When a competitor’s quote is twice the amount of Jackson’s estimate, he knows those guys are gouging and it’s wrong. Jackson’s goal is not to maximize profits, but to offer a reasonable price for the best quality services possible. Jackson is focused on gaining customers by providing better service value than his competitors and relying on word-of-mouth-referrals.
We do the job right the first time. Jackson ensures 100% customer satisfaction by walking customers through the finished results, highlighting the job’s particulars, addressing any questions they may have, and ensuring the customer is completely satisfied. Castillo’s Gutter & Aluminum stands behind every project with a full 2-year warranty on all workmanship.
In our book, the customer always comes first, and we do everything possible to provide the best value. This way of thinking makes us different than our competitors.
